The Team
Our team was made up of sixteen students from ten different majors who worked on this project for ten weeks to research and develop innovative ideas for the future of retail shopping at The Home Depot.
Contributions
Research
For the first five weeks of the project I worked with the team to define both the present and future social and technological landscapes. This included submitting online surveys as well as conducting in-person interviews with Home Depot employees and customers. From our research we built three main archetypes and found five opportunities from customer feedback to build off of. We were then able to move into the concept and ideation phase to begin working on solutions based on these opportunities.
Prototyping
I worked with the digital team to sketch out, test, revise, and build the three final digital concepts to be presented to the client. I worked in Adobe Illustrator to flesh out the mid-fidelity wireframes and in Sketch to implement the high-fidelity design mock-ups for one of the concepts.
Presentation
I created digital walk-through videos in Adobe After Effects for two of the concepts to be used in the final presentation. I along with the digital team presented the final concepts to the clients, using the walk-through videos to detail important features and personalization for the digital retail experience.
